Accompanied by edema, distension of the abdomen and flanks, accumulation of alcohol and food, intestinal stagnation, abdominal masses, kidney masses, extreme pain from accumulated heat, and persistent shortness of breath. Also indicated for severe wind-heat-dryness stagnating in the lower jiao, resulting in obstruction of urination and defecation.

Yuanhua (lightly roasted) 1 fen, Gansui (roasted) half liang, Euphorbia (baked, peel removed) 1 fen.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 qian bi per dose. Boil 10 jujubes in 1.5 zhan of water until the liquid has boiled 20 times. Remove the jujubes, mix in the medicine, and take the entire dose on an empty stomach. Do not stop the treatment even if bowel movements occur. After taking three such doses, one may take Haihu Wan.

Note

For three years following recovery, one must abstain from eating meat and engaging in sexual activity. Failure to do so will inevitably lead to a severe relapse of the disease.
