Drug Formulation

Cinnabar (finely ground; half for the medicine, half for the coating) 1 liang, Gastrodia 2 liang, Angelica dahurica 1 fen, Prepared Aconite Root 1 liang,Chuanxiong half liang, Musk (ground) 1 fen, Tiannanxing (soaked in radish juice for three nights, changing the juice each time; boiled for 3–5 boils; strained; sliced; sun-dried; best prepared during the 12th lunar month) 4 liang.

Processing

Except for cinnabar, grind all the above herbs into a fine powder; mix it evenly with an equal amount of cinnabar powder. Form into pills the size of a tung tree seed using a water-cooked starch paste, and coat them with cinnabar.

Take 15–20 pills per dose, washed down with warm Schizonepeta decoction after meals.
