Dao Ning Chun Yang Dan,*Jiyang Gangmu*, Volume 12.,Deficiency of the True Yuan leads to instability of the heart and kidneys, dissipation of vital energy, and dampness-induced impairment of the spleen’s earth element, resulting in an inability to transform food. The five flavors consumed fail to transform into essence and instead become phlegm and saliva, which accumulate in the epigastrium and cannot be properly transported. This causes dryness and constipation in the large intestine, while urine becomes copious and reddish; or there may be occasional vomiting of sour fluid, which, if prolonged, may lead to regurgitation or intestinal obstruction.
