Processing

Pound the ingredients in an iron mortar and pestle until they form a paste. Place the mixture in a small-mouthed, new porcelain jar. Add 3 jin of high-quality black tin, hammered into small, coin-sized sheets, and mix with raw cow’s milk. Simmer the mixture until well blended.Seal the jar’s opening tightly with a silk cloth soaked in cypress oil, then cover it with a layer of ground lime paste. Sun-dry it until completely dry within a day, then bury it in horse manure for one month. Remove it and inspect the color of the ointment; if it is deep black, it is ready. If it is not yet black, reseal it and bury it in the manure again.

Instructions for Use

When ready for use, first wash it clean with warm slurry water, place it in a gallbladder, and just before bedtime, dip your finger in the medicine and rub it on; if you rub from the bottom up, the black color will spread from the bottom to the roots of the beard.

Note

Avoid raw green onions, raw radishes, and garlic.
