Second Formula: True Yellow Wind Decoction,For the initial stage of genuine stroke, after taking the First Genuine Huangfeng Decoction; when the exterior symptoms of the Six Meridians have resolved but the interior symptoms persist—manifesting as obstruction or discoloration of urination and defecation, confusion, slurred speech, deviation of the mouth and eyes, or hemiplegia—with a tongue coating that may be white and slippery, yellow and thick, or dark and black, and the chest feeling either comfortable or uncomfortable, and the patient able to eat or unable to eat.

Drug Formulation

3 qian of roasted Astragalus, 5 qian of Saposhnikovia root, 3 qian of Poria cocos, 1.5 qian of processed Pinellia, 0.5 fen of roasted licorice, 1 qian of Citrus reticulata peel, 3 qian of Angelica sinensis root, 1.5 qian of ginseng, 1.5 qian of white peony root (stir-fried with cinnamon water), 3 qian of Asarum, and 0.5 fen of Ziziphus jujuba fruit (fried with wheat bran).
