Drug Formulation

1 liang of human feces, 1 liang of cat feces, 1 liang of dog feces (roast with 2 sheng of millet bran until yellow; mix with the previous three ingredients; after processing, use 6 qian of each, cleaned), 5 qian of water caltrop, 7 qian of white rhinoceros horn (chopped),7 qian of antelope horn (chopped), 7 qian of fire-refined salt, 6 qian of Coptis (hairs removed), 5 qian of dragon’s blood, and 5 qian of myrrh.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Split small red dates in half and remove the pits; fill each half with 2 fen of the medicinal powder. Seal the dates by pricking them all over with a needle, wrap them in black gold paper, place them in a Yangcheng jar, and seal it tightly. Light one stick of incense, remove the dates once they have cooled and set, and peel off the date skins. Weigh each date (including the skin) at 1 qian and grind it into a fine powder; add 3 fen of high-quality camphor and grind into an extremely fine powder.

Instructions for Use

For typhoid fever, apply the powder to the outer corner of the left eye in men and the right eye in women; once sweating begins, the condition will be cured. For typhoid fever cases lasting 12 days without sweating, blow the powder into the left nostril in men and the right nostril in women; once sweating begins, the condition will be cured. For yin-type plague with swelling of the head and neck, apply the powder as described above; once sweating begins, the condition will be cured.
