Drug Formulation

5 qian of Diaoteng (with hook), 5 qian of Xuanhusuo, 5 qian of Danggui (washed with wine), 5 qian of Pancao (roasted), 5 qian of Ru Xiang, 2 qian of Rou Gui (with coarse bark removed), and 1 zi of Musk.

Processing

Roast the first four ingredients until dry, taking care not to over-roast the Cinnamon Bark; grind them together into a fine powder. Wrap the mixture in bamboo leaves and place it over a hot iron to thoroughly infuse the Frankincense. Allow to cool, then place in a mortar with the Musk and pound finely. Add the powdered mixture and pound until uniform. Mix with refined honey to form pills the size of a water lily seed.
