Drug Formulation

Half a jin of dried tangerine peel (with the white pith removed), 2.5 liang of alum (roasted in a wok until fragrant and cooked through with the tangerine peel), 2 liang of licorice (roasted), and 5 liang of pinellia (boiled in fresh water, then sliced into 4 pieces each; soaked in alum solution and left to steep for 7 days and 7 nights; strained; pounded with fresh ginger into cakes; and dried over low heat).
