Tianma, Chuanwu (with skin and tip removed), Nansheng, Banxia, Chuanjiang, Chuanxiong, Bai Fuling, and Licorice—each in equal parts (all raw).

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with fresh ginger juice to form pills the size of a longan, shape them into cakes, and coat them with raw cinnabar.
