Drug Formulation

1 jin of fragrant sesame oil, 2 liang of Angelica sinensis, 2 liang of raw Rehmannia glutinosa, and 1 liang of licorice.

Processing

Decoct the above herbs until charred and dry, then remove the dregs. Filter thoroughly through palm-fiber cotton, then transfer to a clean pot and boil until not a single drop of water remains. Add half a jin of orpiment and continue boiling over low heat until the mixture congeals when a drop of water is added. Remove from heat. After a short while, add 1 liang of white beeswax and 1 liang of yellow beeswax; melt over low heat until fully combined, then remove from heat. Once slightly cooled, add 2 qian of frankincense and 2 qian of myrrh, stir evenly, and store in a porcelain container for use.

Instructions for Use

Apply to the affected area and change the dressing once a day.
