Drug Formulation

1 jin of almonds (select flat almonds as specified in the authentic formula), 1 jin of Atractylodes lancea, 2 jin of white sand honey, 1 liang of Atractylodes lancea (remove coarse skin, soak in rice water overnight, then stir-fry with wheat bran), 1 liang of Pinellia ternata (soak in ginger juice overnight), 1 liang of Wood Fragrance, 1 liang of Angelica sinensis, and 1 liang of Ginseng.

Processing

First, wash the apricot kernels thoroughly with hot water and place them in a jar. Coarsely grind 1 jin of raw Atractylodes, boil it in water until it has boiled 100–200 times, then use the decoction to soak the apricot kernels. Seal the jar; leave it for 1 day and 1 night in summer, or 3 days and 3 nights in spring and autumn.and five days and five nights in winter. Remove the Atractylodes and the liquid, then stir-fry the almonds in a wok until dry. Mix in half a jin of honey, stir-fry again, and remove after a short while. Grind the Wood Fragrance, Chinese Angelica, Ginseng, Pinellia, and Atractylodes into a fine powder, mix it with the almonds, let it cool and set, place it in a porcelain jar, and pour half a jin of raw honey over the top.

Instructions for Use

Chew 30–50 pieces thoroughly on an empty stomach each day, washing them down with wheat noodle soup.
