Drug Formulation

1 liang Fangfeng (removing the forks), 1 liang Duhuo (removing the root base), 1 liang Qin Jiao (removing the shoots and soil), 1 liang Huangqi,1 liang of Paeonia lactiflora, 1 liang of Panax ginseng, 1 liang of Poria cocos (with woody core removed), 1 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala (chopped and stir-fried), 1 liang of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 1 liang of Cornus officinalis, 1 liang of Dioscorea opposita, 1 liang of Cinnamomum cassia (with coarse bark removed), 1 liang of Asparagus cochinchinensis (with core removed and roasted), 1 liang of Ophiopogon japonicus (with core removed and roasted),Magnolia Bark 4 liang (coarse bark removed, roasted with ginger juice), Antelope Horn 4 liang (chopped), Cimicifuga Rhizome 4 liang, Licorice Root 4 liang (roasted), Salvia Root 4 liang, Achyranthes Root 4 liang (stems removed, soaked in wine, sliced, and baked), Acanthopanax Bark 4 liang, Dendrobium 4 liang (roots removed), Lycium Bark 4 liang, Polygala Root 4 liang (core removed),Aconite Root 3 liang (cracked by roasting, with skin and pith removed), Aged Tangerine Peel 3 liang (soaked in boiling water, white pith removed, and baked), Ephedra (roots and nodes removed, decocted first, foam skimmed off, and baked) 3 liang, Chrysanthemum Flowers 1 sheng (half-open, lightly roasted), Coix Seed 1 sheng, Gypsum 6 liang (crushed), Prepared Rehmannia Root (baked) 6 liang.

Processing

Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame seeds or beans.

Benefits

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water and half a fen of sliced fresh ginger; decoct until reduced to 8 fen; strain; take warm on an empty stomach, at noon, and before bedtime. If the patient experiences restlessness, fullness, and oppression in the chest and diaphragm, accompanied by shortness of breath and a flushed face, alternate this decoction with the Jingli Decoction.
