Drug Formulation

3 liang of Fangfeng (with forks removed), 3 liang of Ma Huang (with roots and nodes removed; boiled in water, skim off the foam), 3 liang of Duhuo (with the root tip removed), 3 liang of Qin Jiao (with shoots and soil removed), 2 liang of Dang Gui (sliced and roasted), 2 liang of Fangji, 2 liang of Gan Cao (roasted and coarsely chopped), 2 liang of Ren Shen,2 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis (black core removed), 2 liang of Cimicifuga, 2 liang of Paeonia lactiflora, 1 liang of Polygala tenuifolia (core removed), 1 liang of gypsum (crushed), half a liang of musk (ground), and 2 liang of Pinellia ternata (washed in boiling water to remove slipperiness, processed with ginger juice).

Grind the ingredients into a coarse powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose, add 1.5 zhan of water and 3 slices of ginger, decoct until reduced to 8 fen, strain, and take three consecutive doses. Cover with clothing to induce a light sweat.
