5 qian of Pangolin Scale, 3 qian of Tung Seed, 1 jin of Sesame Oil.

Processing

Heat the oil in a pot; fry the ingredients until black, then strain out the residue. Add 7 liang of orpiment and stir. Once the mixture reaches the “water-droplet” stage (when a drop of water forms a bead), add 3.5 qian each of frankincense and myrrh. When the mixture has cooled to lukewarm, add 1 fen of musk and stir until well blended.

Instructions for Use

Apply as desired. Applying one patch to the navel in advance will prevent symptoms such as diarrhea and dysentery.
