Drug Formulation

Cinnabar (ground, as a coating) 1 qian, Myrrh (ground) 1 qian, Soapberry (remove skin and stringy seeds, ground into powder) 1 qian, Dried Lacquer (crushed, stir-fried until all smoke dissipates, ground into powder) 1 qian, Acanthopanax (roasted, ground into powder) 1 qian, Blue Calcite (ground into powder) 1 qian, Dried Ginger (roasted, ground into powder) 1 qian,Mercury sand 1 qian, mercury oxide 2 qian, croton seeds 30 (remove skin and membrane; boil in vinegar until it comes to a boil 10 times).

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder; mix with soft rice to form pills the size of mung beans; coat with cinnabar.

Instructions for Use

Take 3–5 pills with a decoction of persimmon peduncles, taken cold.

Note

Do not use in pregnant women.
