Chinese Name : 固齿白玉膏

Drug Formulation

1 liang of dragon bone, 5 qian of yangqishi (49 ginger silkworms, 5 qian of Fangfeng, 5 qian of Danggui, 5 qian of Chuanxiong, 5 qian of Yazao, 5 qian of Qingyan, 5 qian of Shengma, 5 qian of Bai Zhi, 5 qian of Gupi, 3 qian of Xixin,3 qian of Gaoben; grind into a fine powder. In a sand pot, simmer over a constant stream of water using mulberry wood fire until the liquid is reduced; strain out the residue, then simmer again until 1 bowl of liquid remains. Calcine the Dragon Bone and Yangqishi until glowing red, then quench them in the medicinal liquid seven times; bake until dry and grind into a fine powder), 1 liang of lead powder, 3 qian of pearl, 5 qian of ivory (powder), and 2 qian of musk.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder and mix thoroughly. Melt 3 liang of beeswax, strain it, and remelt it. Once it has cooled to a warm temperature, add the prepared powder and mix evenly. While still hot, spread the mixture onto a sheet of paper. If it has cooled, heat an iron, place it upside down, lay the paper over the iron, and spread the mixture onto the paper.

Instructions for Use

Before use, rinse the mouth thoroughly. Cut a small strip of the mixture and apply it to the base of the tooth; keep the mouth closed and refrain from speaking.
