Chinese Name : 归命丹

Drug Formulation

4 liang of snake bile (purple is best; calcine it over a fire until it turns completely red; remove it, place it on paper on the ground to remove the toxic heat; let it sit overnight, then pound and sift it into a fine powder; transfer it to a mortar and grind it until it is as fine as flour), half a liang of cinnabar, 1 liang of iron powder,2 liang of wild boar dung (use small, hard, dry dung; wrap it in a cake of dough and burn until all smoke has dissipated; do not let it turn white, as this may reduce the potency of the medicine; wait until cool, then grind to a fine powder), 1 qian of musk (ground).
