Drug Formulation

1 liang Sichuan Aconite, 1 liang Wild Aconite, 1 liang Angelica sinensis, 1 liang White Angelica, 1 liang Red Peony Root, 1 liang Raw Rehmannia, 1 liang Prepared Rehmannia, 1 liang Two-Ended Sharp Root, 1 liang Cinnamon Bark, 1 liang Curcuma zedoaria, 1 liang Curcuma zedoaria, 1 liang Pangolin Scale, 1 liang Trichosanthes seed (shell removed, kernel cleaned), 100 Croton seeds (shells removed),Castor seeds 100 (coarsely chopped; soak in 2 jin of sesame oil for 3 days; simmer over alternating high and low heat until charred black; strain out the residue; simmer the oil again until it reduces to half the volume of an incense stick; add 1 jin of orpiment and stir-fry until black; grind into powder; mix and simmer together until the mixture is so thick that stirring with a willow twig becomes difficult and a drop of water forms a bead that does not disperse; remove and set aside the resulting medicine), Frankincense 1 liang, Myrrh 1 liang,1 liang of Wood Fragrance, 2 qian of Musk, 1 liang of Wulingzhi.
