Drug Formulation

1 qian of antelope horn, 1 qian of ox bile, 1 qian 8 fen of Indian saffron, 2 qian of cinnabar, 2 qian of bile star, 7 fen of pearl, 1 qian 8 fen of realgar, 7 fen of musk, 1 qian of Beijing ink (calcined until charred), 7 fen of rhinoceros horn, 2 fen of borneol, 1 qian of amber, and 50 sheets of gold leaf.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Decoct 3 liang each of Uncaria and licorice into a paste, then form into pills that are slightly moist. Each pill should weigh 4 fen and be bound with beeswax.
