Drug Formulation

1 qian of wild gentian, 1 qian of locust pods (washed and finely chopped), a small amount of snow water, 27 raw pearls (ground separately into a fine powder), a small amount of white sand honey, and a small amount of dew collected from bamboo (must be collected from the morning dew; take it from a porcelain vessel).

Processing

Place the ingredients in a new porcelain box, steam twice over a steamer, grind until extremely fine, filter thoroughly through new cotton, transfer to a separate porcelain box, and then infuse with snow water through the box for one night. Next, take a small amount of borneol, grind it into a fine powder in a mortar, add it to the previously steamed and snow-water-infused medicine, and grind again until uniform.

Instructions for Use

Every day at noon, use a new brush to scoop up a quantity the size of a grain of rice, moisten it with freshly drawn water, and apply it to the eye. Close the eye and wait until the medicine takes effect and tears flow before opening it again. Repeat this twice in a row.
