Chinese Name : 换骨膏

Drug Formulation

1 fen of areca nut, 1 fen of myrrh, 1 fen of salt, 1 fen of musk (finely ground), 1 fen of Angelica sinensis, 1 fen of dried scorpion, 1 fen of Ligusticum chuanxiong, 3 liang of yellow丹, 5 liang of refined oil, and 2 liang of weeping willow branches (chopped).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. First, fry the willow branches in oil until they turn yellowish-black, then strain out the residue. Filter the oil through cotton, pour it into a cauldron, add the salt and yellow丹, and stir with a willow wood spatula. Simmer over low heat until the mixture turns black, then add the powdered herbs and stir vigorously until well blended. Store in a porcelain box.

Instructions for Use

Spread the ointment onto a piece of old cloth and apply it; change it twice daily, using 3 liang each time.
