Drug Formulation

0.5 liang of Scutellaria baicalensis (with black core removed), 0.5 liang of Bupleurum chinense (with stems removed), 0.5 liang of Gardenia jasminoides seeds, 0.5 liang of Prunus mume (pitted), 1 liang of softshell turtle shell (with frills removed, vinegar-roasted), and 1 fen of licorice (roasted).

Instructions for Use

Take 5 qian per dose. Use one and a half zhan of a child’s urine, add 7 peach tips and 7 willow tips, 1 jujube-sized piece of fresh ginger (crushed), and half a he of fermented soybeans. Soak overnight. At dawn, decoct until reduced to seven-tenths of the original volume, strain out the residue, add one he of fresh Rehmannia root juice, stir well, and decoct once more until it comes to a boil. Take while warm, regardless of the time of day.
