Drug Formulation

10 chicken gizzards (lightly roasted), half a liang of mulberry cuttlefish (lightly roasted), 1 liang of magnolia bark (coarse outer bark removed; coated with ginger juice and roasted until fragrant and cooked through),1 liang of Trichosanthes fruit (chopped), 1 liang of Angelica sinensis (lightly roasted until reddish, chopped), 1 liang of prepared Rehmannia root, 1 liang of licorice (lightly roasted until reddish, chopped), 1 liang of agarwood, and 2 fen of Cistanche (washed in wine, wrinkles removed, lightly roasted).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from warm wine and wheat flour to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
