Drug Formulation

Rehmannia glutinosa (cooked) 8 liang (boiled in clear water, mashed, and added to the formula), Cornus officinalis (pitted) 4 liang (steamed with wine, sun-dried, and stir-fried), Paeonia suffruticosa bark 3 liang (stir-fried), Poria cocos 3 liang (thoroughly mixed with human milk, sun-dried, and roasted), Dioscorea opposita (stir-fried until yellow),Alisma 2 liang (mixed with lightly salted wine, sun-dried, and stir-fried), Schisandra 1 liang (each fruit cut into 2 slices with a copper knife, mixed with honey and wine, steamed, sun-dried, and roasted), Ophiopogon (core removed) 3 liang (stir-fried), Cinnamon Bark (coarse outer bark scraped off just before grinding) 1 liang (not exposed to direct heat).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, mix with thoroughly mashed prepared rehmannia root, and add refined honey to form pills.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian every morning on an empty stomach, washed down with lightly salted water; or take it with Shengmai Decoction.
