Drug Formulation

8 liang of black pepper, 6 liang of black fungus ash, 6 liang of Angelica sinensis root tips, 120 earth turtles, 1 liang 5 qian of frankincense, 1 liang 5 qian of myrrh, 1 liang 5 qian of apricot kernels, 1 liang 5 qian of peach kernels, 1 liang 5 qian of hair ash, 1 liang 5 qian of dragon’s blood, and 2 qian of natural copper (calcined with vinegar 7 times).

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Separately, boil 3 liang of black pepper to make a concentrated decoction, then use it to mix with flour paste to form pills the size of a tung tree seed.

For every 10 strokes of the cane, take 2 qian of the medicine, washed down with hot wine. This formula is not necessary for lighter punishments.
