Drug Formulation

Tortoise shell (roasted over charcoal until charred; dip a thick brush in Xinan wine and apply the liquid to the surface; repeat this process of roasting and coating three times; grind the charred, yellow residue into a fine powder) 2 liang; Oyster shell (select large specimens with nine holes; calcine until red-hot; soak once in a child’s urine) 2 qian; Cinnabar (bright red) (powdered) 2 qian.

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder; mix with soft, cooked rice to form pills the size of a sesame seed.
