Drug Formulation

Ephedra 3 fen (knots removed), Rhubarb 3 fen, Cinnamon Bark half fen, Licorice half liang (roasted), Chebulic Myrobalan 5 pieces (pits removed), Trifoliate Orange Peel 1 liang, Akebia 1 liang, Papaya 1 piece.

Grind the above ingredients into a powder.

Benefits

Toxic abscesses. Headache, chills and fever, restlessness and agitation, muscle fatigue and weakness.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 qian per dose; add 1 zhan of water, 3 slices of fresh ginger, and 3 cun of scallion white (with roots attached); decoct until reduced to 8 fen; drink the entire decoction. A spontaneous sweat will appear shortly thereafter; take several more doses, and the pain and fever will subside.
