Drug Formulation

4 qian of Ming Dangshen, 4 qian of Yun Poria, 4 qian of Astragalus (roasted), 4 qian of Lu Dangshen, 4 qian of Yuzhu (roasted), 4 qian of charred ginger, 4 qian of poppy shells, 4 qian of Eucommia (roasted),4 qian of tangerine peel, 4 qian of goji berries, 2 qian 4 fen of inula flower (wrapped in silk), 2 qian 4 fen of licorice (roasted), 2 qian 4 fen of processed pinellia, 2 qian 4 fen of amomum seed, and 2 qian of jujube seed.

Processing

Add 4 qian of red dates and 2 liang of brown sugar; decoct in water to obtain a concentrated decoction, strain out the residue, and reduce to a paste. Weigh the resulting amount, add 10% Qingyan Paste, and stir until thoroughly mixed.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 qian of tobacco and 1 qian of the ointment. Smoke several times a day and take the ointment several times a day as well. Take it before the urge to smoke arises. Continue for 7 days, then reduce the dose by 10 percent each time until the craving is completely eliminated. This formula is particularly effective for those who are corpulent and suffer from yang deficiency.
