Drug Formulation

1 jin of Hei Chou (using only the head and tail portions), 1 jin of Shu Da Huang, 4 liang of Zhi Ban Xia (stir-fried with ginger juice), 2 liang of Zhi Nan Xing (stir-fried with ginger juice), 2 liang of Bai Fan, 1 jin of Zao Jia (seeds and stringy ridges removed), 4 liang of Ting Li Zi, 2 liang of Mu Xiang, 4 liang of Qing Pi (stir-fried with vinegar), 4 liang of Zhi Shi (stir-fried).

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, then mix with water to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 2–3 qian per dose (amount may vary); children should take a few fen. Take with ginger soup.
