37 seeds of croton, 3–7 seeds of Pinellia from Qizhou.

Instructions for Use

Lightly pound each Pinellia tuber to split it into four pieces; remove the inner membrane from each Croton seed. Place them in a silver, copper, or stone vessel with 3 bowls of rice vinegar, and simmer over alternating high and low heat until the vinegar has completely evaporated. Rinse lightly with clear vinegar, then grind into a paste. For cases of throat constriction, throat obstruction, or abscesses, take 1 wò’ěr of the paste and dissolve it with 1 tea jiao of fresh ginger juice.In severe cases, shortly after administering the medicine, the patient will naturally vomit foul phlegm resembling fish jelly, and will be instantly cured.
