Drug Formulation

2 liang of Mulberry-host, 1 liang of Sichuan Dipsacus (chopped, moistened with wine), 1 liang of deer antler velvet (dehaired, steamed with wine), 1 liang of elk antler velvet (dehaired, steamed with wine), 1 liang of deer antler (chopped), 1 liang of elk antler (chopped), 1 liang of Aconite root (roasted, peeled),Chuan Wu (roasted, peeled) 1 liang, Zhongru Powder 1 liang, Yangqishi (calcined) 1 liang, Chuan Bajie (pounded, core removed) 1 liang, Agarwood (unheated) 1 liang, Chuan Niuxi (root base removed, soaked in wine) 1 liang, Chuan Beixie 1 liang, Tu Si Zi (rinsed, steamed in wine, pounded, and dried) 2 liang,Schisandra berries 2 liang, Xuanmu gua 2 pieces (peeled, seeded, and steamed until soft), red Sichuan pepper (remove seeds and closed pods; lightly roast until slightly sweaty; use the red part) half a liang.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; draw deer’s blood, and while still hot, mix thoroughly to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
