Drug Formulation

Ephedra (knots removed, soaked in hot water) 1 liang, Atractylodes macrocephala 1 liang, Poria cocos 1 liang, Cinnamomum cassia 1 liang, Tangerine peel 3 fen, Green tangerine peel 3 fen, Platycodon grandiflorus 3 fen, Angelica dahurica 3 fen, Licorice 3 fen, Pinellia ternata (fermented) 3 fen, Perilla frutescens 3 fen, Black plum 3 fen, Dried ginger half a liang.

Instructions for Use

Take 4 qian per dose. Boil with 2 zhan of water, adding 3 slices of fresh ginger and 2 jujubes, until reduced to 7 fen. Strain out the solids. Take once on an empty stomach on the day the attack is expected to occur; taking another dose just before the attack begins is particularly effective.
