Drug Formulation

3 jin of eel (cut into 1-cun pieces, washed), 1 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and navel removed), 3 fen of Bupleurum (stems removed), 1 liang of Ligusticum, 1 liang of Anemarrhena (sliced, roasted), 1 liang of Fritillaria (core removed), 1 liang of Angelica (sliced, roasted),softshell turtle shell (with frills removed, vinegar-roasted) 1 liang, Schizonepeta spikelets 1 liang, Cnidium seeds 0.1 fen, Wood Fragrance 0.3 fen, Gentiana (stems and soil removed) 1 liang, Artemisia annua seeds (soaked in urine overnight, then baked) 1 liang, Astragalus (chopped) 1 liang, Akebia (chopped) 1 liang.

Processing

Except for the eel, grind the above ingredients into a powder and divide it into three doses. For each dose, take 1 jin of eel and 3 sheng of medicinal wine; simmer in a silver or stone vessel until tender, then strain out the residue. Add one dose of the herbal powder and simmer again until it becomes a thin broth; pour into a clean vessel.

Instructions for Use

Take 1 spoonful per dose on an empty stomach, mixed with warm wine; after taking it, cover yourself with clothes and blankets to induce sweating; gradually increase the dose to 2 spoonfuls.
