Processing

Process and clean the herbal materials. Take 10 jin each of licorice and Isatis root, and decoct them three times for 3 hours, 2 hours, and 1 hour, respectively; hot-infuse Artemisia capillaris twice for 2 hours and 1 hour, respectively. Combine the resulting decoctions, filter out the sediment, and concentrate under reduced pressure to a thick paste with a specific gravity of 1.4–1.5 at a temperature of 50°C.Take 40 jin of Isatis root, grind it into a fine powder, and sieve through a 100-mesh sieve. Pill preparation: Add the thick paste to aged honey (120°C, equal to twice the weight of the original powder), mix thoroughly with the herbal powder while hot, adjust to the appropriate consistency, shape into small pills, and coat with casein after cooling.Coating preparation: Take 100 g of dry casein, add 3–4 times the volume of water, and heat in a water bath. While stirring, add 10–15 mL of saturated sodium carbonate solution to adjust the pH to 7.5–8. Filter, then add a small amount of ethanol to adjust to the appropriate concentration. Apply the sugar coating.

Take 15–20 tablets each time with warm water, twice daily.
