Plum Blossom Slices, rhubarb, Coptis, and Pinellia—each in equal parts.

Source

From *Supplements to the Zizhen Collection of Laryngology*.

Benefits

For throat conditions with severe heat.

Instructions for Use

Grind the three ingredients—Rhubarb, Pinellia, and Coptis—into a fine powder. Mix with egg white and apply to the center of the sole of the foot—the left foot for men and the right foot for women. Place a whole piece of plum flower in the center of the poultice. If the patient has phlegm in the throat, it will be expelled; if there is no phlegm, the condition will resolve on its own. However, the plum flower must not be ground together with the other ingredients, nor should it be ground too finely. Exercise caution.
