Benefits

For Yangming syndrome with spontaneous sweating; if the patient has been made to sweat and urination is unimpeded, this indicates internal depletion of body fluids. Although the condition appears severe, it must not be treated with purgation.

Instructions for Use

In a copper vessel, simmer over low heat until it thickens to the consistency of malt syrup; stir constantly to prevent burning or sticking. When it reaches a pillable consistency, roll it by hand into a rod with a pointed tip about the size of a finger and approximately 2 cun in length. Form it quickly while still hot, as it hardens once cooled. Insert it into the anus and hold it firmly in place with your hand; remove it only when the urge to defecate arises.
