Drug Formulation

2 large crucian carp (preferably weighing 10 liang each; do not remove scales or intestines), 1 large toad (preferably weighing half a jin or more), 3 liang of croton seeds, 2 liang of smilax seeds, 1 jin 4 liang of genuine sesame oil.

Processing

Simmer in a copper pot; when the oil is boiling, add the croton seeds and castor seeds. Wait until they are charred, then remove them. Next, add the crucian carp and toad, and wait again until they are charred before removing them. Strain thoroughly and continue simmering until a drop of oil does not disperse. Remove from heat; once the oil has cooled, add 20 liang of lead powder. Simmer again until a drop of oil forms a bead. Remove from heat, then add 5 qian of powdered frankincense,two male and female Strychnos nux-vomica fruits, wrapped in flour and steamed until tender. Grind into a powder, mix thoroughly, and pour into a basin of water to remove the toxic properties of the fire. When using, steam in a double boiler and spread out.
