Drug Formulation

1 liang of Ning Shui Shi, 1 liang of white quartz, 1 liang of white calcite, 1 liang of Daizhashi, 1 liang of alum, 1 liang of Zhushi, 1 liang of gypsum, 1 liang of sodium carbonate,1 liang of Heather, 1 liang of Stone Weed, 1 liang of Aconite (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Aconite Root (roasted until cracked, with skin and pith removed), 1 liang of Changshan, 1 liang of Dipsacus, 1 liang of Corydalis, 1 liang of White Atractylodes, 1 liang of Fangfeng (with branches removed), 1 liang of Scutellaria (with black core removed), 1 liang of Coptis (with stalks removed),Rhubarb (roasted) 1 liang, Ephedra (with roots and nodes removed) 1 liang, Prepared Rehmannia 1 liang, Cornus officinalis 1 liang, Apricot Kernel (soaked in hot water, with skin, tip, and double kernels removed) 1 liang, Scrophularia 1 liang, (艹闾) Ru 1 liang, Wolf’s-bane 1 liang, Pinellia (washed 7 times in hot water, then dried) 1 liang,Lilu 1 liang, Acorus 1 liang, Xianhu (with root tip removed) 1 liang, Centipede (roasted) 1 liang, Licorice (roasted) 1 liang, Gentiana 1 liang, Platycodon (chopped, roasted) 1 liang,Dodder Seed (soaked in wine overnight, then roasted) 1 liang, Qin Jiao (with stems and soil removed) 1 liang, Peony Root 1 liang, Purple Aster (with stems removed) 1 liang, White Angelica Root 1 liang, Polygala Root (with core removed) 1 liang, Selaginella 1 liang.

Processing

Chop the above herbs into pieces the size of sesame seeds, place them in a silk bag, and add 3 dou of water. On the 7th day of the 7th lunar month, prepare 3 jin of rice malt and cook 3 sheng of millet into rice. Following the standard method for making wine, place the herb bag into the fermentation vessel. Ferment for 7 days in spring and autumn, 10 days in winter, and 3 days in summer until the wine is ready.

Instructions for Use

Take half a chicken eggshell per dose, three times daily. Dry the medicinal residue from the pouch in the sun. Pound and sift it again; take one fangcun bi per dose, washed down with wine. Continue until the body feels warm.
