Drug Formulation

3 fen of ox bile, 3 fen of peony root, 3 fen of licorice, 3 fen of croton seed (cleaned), 2 fen of sparrow droppings (white, roasted), 2 fen of dried ginger, 2 fen of angelica root, 2 fen of scutellaria root, 4 fen of ligusticum root, 4 fen of ginseng, 1 fen of astragalus root, 1 fen of wheat flour, 5 fen of rhubarb.

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, mix with refined honey, and form into pills the size of a broad bean.

Benefits

Effective for 120 types of epilepsy, “bianzheng” syndrome, chronic abdominal mass, and bloating due to irregular diet; characterized by a warm, robust condition that is milder in the morning and worse at night; obstruction of urination and defecation; weak stomach and cold spleen; sudden illness and external pathogenic factors; distended abdomen; undigested food; and vomiting.

Instructions for Use

For a 1-year-old, take 2 pills three times daily. If no effect is seen, gradually increase the dose until bowel movements resume; regular use yields excellent results. For a newborn with abdominal distension and a tight mouth, difficulty breastfeeding, obstruction of urination and defecation, and chest rales, take 1 pill the size of half a millet seed; for a 10-day-old infant, take 1 pill the size of a millet seed.If the child has fever in the head and body, restlessness and agitation, abdominal distension, sudden illness with sudden abdominal pain, or vomiting of breast milk, this formula is appropriate; for a 100-day-old infant, administer 1 pill. It is also suitable for alternating chills and fever, morning and evening fever with a warm and robust body, prolonged diarrhea with five-colored stools, as well as typhoid fever with bloating from food and drink, abdominal distension, indigestion, and vomiting—adjust the dosage according to the child’s condition.
