Drug Formulation

1 liang of Chinese chive seeds, 1 liang of Cnidium monnieri seeds, 1 liang of large Aconite root, 1 liang of cinnamon bark, 3 liang of Sichuan pepper, 1 liang of sulfur, 3 fen of musk, and 1 clove of garlic.

Processing

3 jin of sesame oil; add the coarse medicinal ingredients and steep for half a month; boil until the oil turns a dry, dark color; remove the dregs; boil again until a drop of oil forms a bead when dropped into water; add 12 liang of orpiment; boil again until cool; then add the fine medicinal ingredients and set aside for use.
