Drug Formulation

3 liang of Cyperus rhizome (soaked in a child’s urine for 3 days, then stir-fried), 2 liang of Chuanxiong, 3 liang of tangerine peel (white pith removed), 4 liang of Atractylodes macrocephala (stir-fried with earth), 1 liang of Magnolia officinalis, 2 liang of Trifoliate orange fruit (stir-fried), 2 liang of Coptis (stir-fried with ginger juice), 2 liang of Shenqu (stir-fried), 7 qian of barley malt (stir-fried), 3 qian of Wood Fragrance, 1 liang of Gardenia (stir-fried with ginger juice),Radish Seeds (roasted) 1 liang, Pinellia (roasted with ginger juice) 1.5 liang, Poria (white) 1 liang, Amomum (roasted) 4 qian, Dried Ginger 1 liang, Hawthorn (pulp only) 2 liang, Green Tangerine Peel 6 qian (roasted with sesame oil), Licorice (roasted) 4 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from bamboo sap and Shenqu, and form into pills the size of mung beans.
