Chinese Name : 平胃前胡汤

Drug Formulation

Qianhu (root tip removed) 1.5 liang, Ginseng 1.5 liang, Poria (black skin removed) 1.5 liang, Aconite (roasted until cracked, skin and navel removed) 1.5 liang, Pinellia (soaked in ginger juice overnight, then pounded with the ginger juice until uniform and dried in an oven) 1.5 liang, Atractylodes 1.5 liang,Loquat leaves (hairs wiped off) 1.5 liang, Magnolia bark (coarse outer bark removed, coated with ginger juice, thoroughly roasted) 1.5 liang, Chebulic myrobalan (wrapped in paper and steamed until tender, pitted) 1.5 liang, Areca nut (chopped) 3 liang,Musk nut (shelled) 3 liang, aged tangerine peel (white pith removed by boiling, then baked) 3 liang, dried ginger (roasted) 3 liang, licorice (roasted) 3 liang.

Processing

Coarsely chop the ingredients into pieces the size of sesame seeds or mung beans.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose, add 1 zhan of water, 1 piece of ginger the size of a jujube (sliced), and 2 jujubes (split), then decoct until reduced to 7 fen. Strain and take warm at any time.
