Benefits

For children with abdominal distension and fullness, or chronic diarrhea that does not resolve, or reduced appetite, with daily depletion of vital energy, emaciation of the limbs, a distended abdomen with visible blue veins, and pathological masses forming under the flanks—some located in the abdomen beneath the flanks, others within the muscles of the flanks.

Instructions for Use

Take half a wine cup each morning and evening, mixed with rice washing water.Children aged 7–8 years should take 2 doses; those aged 5–6 years, 1.5 doses; and those aged 3–4 years, 1 dose. This will completely resolve the abdominal distension. For children around one year of age, who have difficulty swallowing medicine, grind the original formula into a coarse powder and place it in an earthenware pot. First, spread the blood of one chicken—dried in the shade—over the bottom of the pot. Add the medicine, then melt 1 liang of fire clay and 1 liang of Sichuan white wax over a fire, sprinkle them over the herbs, rinse a black bowl with vinegar, invert it over the mixture, seal the top with yellow clay, and heat gently from below with hemp stalk fire. When the smoke from the herbs is nearly gone, remove the bowl, collect the soot from the bowl’s surface, and store it in a bottle for future use. Take one large ear-spoonful per dose, mixed with water. It may also be mixed with breast milk; this will completely resolve the fullness.
