Drug Formulation

4 liang of Sha Yuan Tribulus (ground into a fine powder resembling silkworm eggs; those from Tongzhou are best; sift again through a fine mesh sieve to obtain 2 liang of extremely fine powder and 2 liang of coarse powder; simmer with 1 large bowl of water until reduced to a paste and set aside), 4 liang of lotus stamen (ground into an extremely fine powder; golden ones preserve essence, while red ones deplete it),Cornus officinalis (3 liang of extremely fine powder; requires 1 jin of fresh, bright red, fleshy fruit; remove the pits and grind the flesh into a fine powder), Rubus chingii (southern varieties are best; remove the seeds and grind into an extremely fine powder) 2 liang,500 water lily seeds (shells removed; if sizes vary, use 4 liang of the finest powder), 5 qian dragon bone (five-colored is best; calcined. Calcination method: Place the dragon bone in a small sand pot; heat the pot and bone together until red-hot to remove the toxic properties before use).

Processing

Refine 1 jin of honey using the “fu” method; skim off the foam several times with paper until no foam remains and the honey forms beads when dropped into water; set aside 4 liang of this refined honey. Sift the preceding six ingredients through a fine sieve; first mix them with the Tribulus terrestris paste to form a mass, then add 4 liang of the refined honey. Pound the mixture in a stone mortar for over a thousand strokes until well blended, then shape into pills the size of soybeans.

For debility, nocturnal emissions, and leukorrhea.

Instructions for Use

Take 30 pills per dose on an empty stomach with salted water.

Note

Avoid sexual activity for 20 days.
