Drug Formulation

Green tangerine peel (sliced, soaked in water mixed with 5 qian of sodium carbonate), Cyperus rotundus (crushed, soaked in a child’s urine) 4 liang; Curcuma longa (crushed, soaked in water mixed with 5 qian of raw alum) 2 liang; Salvia miltiorrhiza (sliced, soaked in ginger juice) 2 liang; Panax ginseng 1 liang; Angelica sinensis 1 liang;Chuanxiong 1 liang, Atractylodes macrocephala 2 liang, Poria cocos 2 liang, processed Pinellia ternata 2 liang, aged tangerine peel 5 qian, fried licorice 5 qian.

Processing

Grind the first four ingredients into a fine powder; mix with vinegar paste to form pills the size of a sesame seed; sun-dry them; sprinkle with donkey-hide gelatin solution; and shake until glossy. Then, grind the remaining eight ingredients into a fine powder; mix with rice water to form a coating over the glossy pills; and sun-dry.
