Decoction for People and Horses,When a person is affected by the miasma of mountain mist or overflowing water, or by the irregular energies of the four seasons, or by the miasma of corpses or the miasma of disease, a “snake” may form in the abdomen, and the body may become parched and dry like firewood, appearing as if covered with scales; furthermore, due to overeating during periods of hunger or satiety, when food cannot be digested, a “turtle-shelled” worm may form in the abdomen—resembling a turtle but not actually being one.

1 bowl of horse urine, half a he (child’s urine is especially effective).

Processing

Grind 1 liang of realgar, 5 qian of white angelica root, and 2 liang of raw licorice root into fine powders, then form them into pills the size of a paulownia seed.
