Processing

Coarsely chop the ingredients, place them in a copper vessel with well water, and soak for three nights. Simmer over low heat to reduce to a thick decoction, then strain out the residue. Re-simmer the residue, strain again, and continue simmering over low heat while stirring with locust, willow, and mulberry twigs until the mixture reaches the consistency of malt sugar. Add honey and mix thoroughly.Add 2 goat gallbladders and 2 male pig gallbladders and mix well. Place the mixture in a porcelain bowl and steam it over the mouth of a teapot until it becomes a paste. Filter it again until clean; when a drop falls into still water, it should form a pearl—this indicates the proper consistency for making pills. Allow it to sit for several days to remove the heat toxicity, then melt it again. Add the powdered herbs and mix thoroughly. Pound into pills, dry in the shade, and coat with gold or silver foil.
