Drug Formulation

1 liang of Astragalus (chopped), 1 liang of black plum (pitted), 1 liang of Anemarrhena (roasted), 1 liang of licorice (roasted, chopped), 1 liang of Tussilago flower, 1 liang of Gentiana (stems and soil removed), 1 liang of Fritillaria (core removed, stir-fried), 1 liang of Pinellia (washed 7 times in boiling water, then roasted),1 fen of glutinous rice, 1 fen of white mulberry root bark (chopped), half liang of peach kernels (with skin and tips removed, stir-fried with bran), half liang of softshell turtle shell (with frills removed, vinegar-roasted until yellow), 1.5 liang of ginseng, and 2 liang of Bupleurum (stems removed).

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose; add 1.5 zhan of water, 3 slices of fresh ginger, and small amounts each of peach twigs, willow twigs, scallion whites, and leek whites. Decoct together until reduced to 6 fen; strain and take while warm, at any time.
