Drug Formulation

Frankincense (ground separately) half liang, Myrrh (ground separately) half liang, Sichuan Aconite (roasted, peel and tip removed) half liang, Wild Aconite (roasted, peel and tip removed) half liang, Earthworm (cleaned of soil) half liang,White Pharbitis (boiled several times in an earthenware pot) half liang, Polygonum multiflorum 1 liang (boiled in an earthenware pot, black skin removed), White Silkworm Pupae 1 qian (roasted, silk threads and mouthparts removed), Wulingzhi (ground with wine, impurities removed) 7 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with wine paste to form pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Benefits

For left-sided paralysis and right-sided weakness, deviation of the mouth and eyes, wandering wind disorders, numbness in the lower back and legs, all wind-related diseases, red eyes, and white-headed wind sores.

Instructions for Use

Take 15–20 pills per dose after meals, with either tea or wine. For dry sores, grind the powder and mix with oil to apply topically; for moist sores, apply as a dry powder. For injuries such as contusions or fractures where the skin and bone are shattered, grind the powder and mix with equal parts of myrrh and frankincense (half a qian each) to apply topically.
