Drug Formulation

1 fen of Agarwood, 1 fen of Sandalwood, half liang of Cloves, half liang of Frankincense, half liang of Cardamom (wrapped in flour and roasted until tender), half liang of Areca Nut (all 6 ingredients ground into a fine powder), 21 seeds of Croton (shells removed), 21 almonds (skins and tips removed), 1 zi of White Cloves, 1 zi of White Eagle Droppings, 1 liang of Hundred Herbs Ash.

Processing

Of the above ingredients, excluding the six ingredients such as agarwood, take the remaining five—including croton seeds—and roast them in an iron wok over low heat until thick smoke rises; do not overcook or undercook them. Once ready, place them in a porcelain bowl, cover tightly, and let cool overnight. Grind them into a fine powder, mix with the previously ground mixture, and blend thoroughly. Use 1 liang and a half of beeswax,1 fen of sesame oil, melt them together, mix with the medicine to form a paste, and roll into pills the size of mung beans.
